| Abstract: This rulemaking would update 49 CFR part 573 in compliance with the FAST Act to require manufacturers to provide the name and description of the components, a description of components, and the part or component number of the components involved in a defect or noncompliance on the defect or noncompliance information reports filed with the agency and to conform the length of the time for which manufacturers are required to provide a free remedy to the recent amendments to the Motor Vehicle Safety Act in the FAST Act. | |
