Abstract: This rulemaking would provide requirements to protect pedestrian heads impacting vehicle hoods. NHTSA initiated this rulemaking following the establishment of the Global Technical Regulation (GTR) by the UNECEĀ“s World Forum for the Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) in November 2008.
