Title: Pavement Design 
Abstract:

This rulemaking would update the regulations pertaining to FHWA's pavement design requirements in 23 CFR part 626. Objectives include reducing the regulatory requirements for project level oversight, possibly by authorizing a programmatic approach; eliminating ambiguities in the current regulations; and updating the regulations in response to MAP-21 provisions on performance management, asset management and minimum standards for pavement management systems.
