Title: Amendments to the Freight Car Safety and Reflectorization Standards | |
Abstract:
The rulemaking proposes to amend 49 CFR parts 215 and 224 to incorporate existing waivers related to the use of Unit Condition Indicators for monitoring end-of-car cushioning units and to address the handling of overage equipment operated by tourist, historic, and scenic railroads. The rulemaking also proposes amendments to the reflectorization requirements to reduce application to equipment operated by tourist, historic, and scenic railroads. |
