Title: Automatic Shutoff and Keyless Ignition Systems | |
Abstract:
This notice supplements NHTSA's notice of proposed rulemaking published in the Federal Register on December 12, 2011, to seek public comment on a proposal to amend Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114 to require automatic shut-off systems for passenger motor vehicles equipped with a keyless ignition system and an internal combustion engine. This rulemaking is issued pursuant to the statutory mandate in section 24205 of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. |
