Title: ●Enrollment Provision of Hospital and Outpatient Care to Veterans | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking enacts a statutory amendment authorizing the enrollment of Medal of Honor recipients into VA healthcare priority group 1. Under the statute in effect prior to 2016, Medal of Honor recipients were authorized care in priority group 3. Under Pub. L. 114-315, the Jeff Miller and Richard Blumenthal Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2016, they are now entitled to care under priority group 1. VHA has already enrolled all known Medal of Honor recipients in priority group 1, so there are no known costs or savings associated with this rulemaking. |
