The OCC issued an ANPRM regarding options for modernizing the current regulations designed to carry out the purposes of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).  A new approach to CRA could bring clarity, transparency, and less burden for regulated financial institutions and consumers, while providing flexibility to these institutions in meeting the banking needs of the communities that they serve.
